What is our Core? Under the chest to under the butt!!!! The center of the body. some say just the stomach and back, but not in my class.... Why do we need a strong Core? Without a strong core our bodies can not be strong. Our core is our bodies support... What can we do to have a strong Core? We offer Pilates, Power Abs and Body Sculpting to handle these areas of the body. Don't get me wrong we work the entire body in every class, but the core is our main focus.

These classes are for everyone no matter the age, size, or gender. One thing I learned in Yoga is that everyone's body is different, so as long as you try you can not do anything wrong. As long as you feel it you are doing right :) You do not have to be perfect because you will get better everyday. We are only who we are and can only do what we push ourselves to do. So in saying this we can accomplish anything and we are perfect in are own individual way.
Strengthening the core muscles will help you with activities such as walking, running, swimming, golf, skiing, and other aerobic sports. Computer operators and musicians can also use this unique fitness system to reduce or prevent neck and shoulder strain.
Pilates History
Pilates was developed in the 1920s by the legendary physical trainer Joseph H. Pilates, the Pilates Method is a series of exercises that can be performed on a mat or with specialized equipment.
Joseph Pilates was born in Germany in 1880. He started life as a small, frail child, which fuelled his fascination with exercises that would make him healthier, stronger and more physically attractive.
Obsessed with attainment of the perfect body, he became an accomplished skier, boxer and gymnast.
In 1926, Pilates and his wife opened their first studio in New York City where many of their first clients, Founder Joseph H. Pilates at 70 years of age, came from the world of dance. Eminent dance masters such as George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and Martha Graham became devoted to his method. http://www.purelypilates.com.au/index.shtml
